Beaten Biscuits

4-26-2012  | Mary Hartman

The Kentucky Derby is approaching FAST. There are some traditional foods that are served at Derby which you should experience at least once. One of these is beaten biscuits. They are, as the name implies, biscuits that are beaten. Once baked they are perhaps more like a cracker than a fluffy soft biscuit. They are served split in half with thinly sliced country ham. Rather tasty, especially with a Mint Julep!

Now, just so you know, the only store selling them is our Chenoweth Square location. They are $5.75 per dozen.
