Derby Traditions

4-27-2012  | Mary Hartman

Another Derby tradition is the Mint Julep. If you don't go to the track you can make your own. We sell the mint and the sugar, but not the bourbon. They are simple to make. Chill your glass, crush the mint with your hands or in the glass with the back of a wooden spoon, add crushed ice, simple syrup (equal parts water and sugar heated to melt the sugar) and bourbon.
