Spring Smoothies

Spring Smoothies are delicious.  Try to drink one before 10 am and notice the energy gained.  Not only do they taste great, but they are a wonderful way to increase one's fruit intake.  All you need is a blender, fruit, yogurt and desired sweetness.  A little honey added, can go a long way.  A fresh squeeze of lemon, lemon zest, grated ginger and mint give flavor and no added calories.  If you have a picky eater and would like to encourage them to increase their fruit intake, this really is a wonderful way to begin the day, especially for busy schedules.  A to-go cup of a fresh cool smoothie can be a life changer.
